Fall Festival Celebration September 26th
Our market lost a great member last week, Dan Buttry. He was a faithful vendor for several years. I hope you had the opportunity to meet him and purchase a trellis or produce. We honored him by leaving an open tent with his sign on one of the trellis’ he made for the market.

Pies must be delivered to De Soto Farmers’ Market between 8:00-9:00 AM to Church Fellowship Hall
Pies should be in a disposable pie plate and contest is open to all.
THREE DIVISIONS:
JUNIOR ages: 5-17
ADULT ages: 18-49
ADULT ages: 50 and up
JUDGING AT 9:00 am
Pies will be judged on Appearance (10), Crust (30), Filling (30), and Overall (30)
All pies will become the property of the De Soto Farmers’ Market and will be offered per piece for a donation after judging.
Winners will be announced on the main stage at the end of judging.

Celebrate Our Heritage!
Saturday, August 29th is Celebrate our Heritage day at De Soto Farmers’ Market. We hope you will come join in the fun. We will have several demonstrations including: blacksmith skills, rope making, grist mill operation, antique engine operation, basket weaving, wood lathe operation, chair caning, spinning, antique gas engine operation, painting, broom making, antique tractor operation, wood carving, and soap making.
