About the Market
Thank you all for supporting the local farmers’ market at 520 North Main Street.
The market is a Get Healthy DeSoto project and St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church was a valued partner and our home for our first seven years. Due to circumstances outside of our control, a move became necessary in late 2015. We hope you’ll visit us, as we’re excited to show off to old and new customers alike!
All items sold at the market are grown or homemade 100% by our local vendors. Buy fresh, local at the DeSoto Farmers’ Market.
Watch for upcoming events to help support the market, such as our trivia night (watch our Facebook posts for more information).
Every week we have exciting goods offered by our local vendors, including fresh produce, honey, jellies, jams, poultry, beef, pork, lamb, baked goods, seedlings, plants, crafts, jewelry, soaps, etc. (Not all items are offered every week.)
We have live music for your listening pleasure most Saturdays from 9-11. We also have activities for the kids as part of the Power of Produce Club.
Special Programs
EBT-We accept SNAP cards. You will need to go into the market building and use your card to get $1 tokens that can be used for produce, meats, bread, etc.
POP Club-Stands for Power of Produce. Kids who sign up on the first Saturday of the month will receive $2 worth of tokens that can be used to purchase produce at the market. The tokens can be used for produce any Saturday but we only give out the tokens on the first and third Saturdays. Be sure to look for specials from the vendors. They frequently put out special items just for the kids that cost $2.
