Do you hate seeing all your herbs die at the end of each growing season? Curious to know how to preserve their flavor for use over the winter. Then this class is for you!
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 6:00 –7:00 pm at the Community Herb Garden at 610 Vineland School Road in DeSoto.
This class will focus on basic preservation techniques for culinary herbs including dehydrating and freezing. The workshop will also cover culinary uses for herbs and health benefits of herbs and spices. The class will include demonstration and hands-on activities to teach participants how to properly preserve their herbs.

$15.00 fee for the workshop covers the cost of food & materials. Please bring a lawn chair and a container to harvest herbs from the community garden. Registration is required by contacting MU Extension at 636-797-5391 or email [email protected]. Deadline to register is October 4th.
