Check out some of the photos from this past Saturday at the DeSoto Farmers’ Market. It was Celebrate Our Heritage, so you’ll see kids making rope, a blacksmith, a basket weaver, lashers, wood turners, and more. The kids had a great time!
We have signs!
Check out the new signs at the farmers’ market.
2016 Market Sponsors Announced
We have some great market sponsors. Please patronize these businesses and thank the individual givers when you have a chance.
DFM Vendor Workshop
All potential and past vendors for the farmer’s market are encouraged to attend the Vendor Workshop on April 19th. It will begin at 6:30 pm and will be held at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church. Weights and Measures will be there to certify scales, so be sure to bring yours. We will also discuss the changes for 2016 and go through the Rules and Regulations.
Not sure you can attend but still want to vend! Contact Joyce at 314-800-4076 or Cindy at 636-208-3391.
2016 Tractor Parade
The Annual Tractor Parade begins at 10:30 AM on April 30th. It will run along Main Street starting on the north end at Mahn’s and going south to St. Louis Street.
We’ll be giving out market information and seeds, so be sure to snag anyone dressed in ridiculous vegetable costumes…you know the ones.
An application to enter the parade is here or you can pick one up at the public library.
Even more good news: the farmers’ market will be OPEN AT THE NEW LOCATION from 9AM-1PM the day of the parade. Those aren’t our normal hours (8-12), but we’ve made an adjustment for the parade and other events in town that morning (DeSoto Dash for Dystrophy).
We hope to see you there.
