Farm to Table is a great event with great food that celebrates the work of our local farmers, crafters, and artisans in a laid-back atmosphere that has just enough elegance to make it really special. There’s just enough bidding wars over auction items to keep the event from being stale but not enough that there are fistfights. Guests love it because of all these things and because it is truly a great evening spent supporting the DeSoto Farmers’ Market.
As everyone knows, 2020 has been unlike other years. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of guests, we decided to cancel the Farm to Table dinner. All is not lost though!
We already had great auction items, so the auction portion of the event is being moved to Facebook. You still have a chance to support the market when bidding starts on Friday, September 11th. Bidding will continue through the evening of Sunday, September 13th.
We know that not everyone does Facebook, and some of our key bidders might be excluded. This is also fairly short notice, and we’re sorry about that too. We hope that as supporters of the market, you’ll visit the auction on Facebook and drop by the farmers’ market on Saturday, September 12th. We’ll have the items on display there for all to see!
Thank you for your continued support of the market and Get Healthy DeSoto during the pandemic. We appreciate all the words of encouragement, letters of support, and donations of money, time, goods, and skills. Together, we’ll get through this and be a stronger community.
