The De Soto Farmers Market has been proudly serving your community since 2009. We are a local only market. What this means is that all produce, meat and honey is grown/produced within 75 miles. Additionally, all of our bakers and artisans hand craft/add value to their products within 75 miles. When you buy from a De Soto Farmers Market Vendor, you are truly supporting local small businesses and farms.
We are exited to announce the 2025 Market theme is “Happy,Healthy Garden”. Each week the Market will highlight a different area of healthy living, including informational booths featuring community businesses and organizations. Our goal is to bring the community together through enrichment, education and awareness.
Market Sponsors help De Soto Farmers Market to provide enrichment, education and awareness to the De Soto and surrounding communities. Also funding programs like POP Club and Senior Produce Club, which provide free tokens weekly during market season to children and senior citizens. They can use these tokens to purchase fresh produce, meat or honey. 2025 will bring the beginning of the New Community Garden @ the Market. Through a grant, we are able to once again establish A garden that can provide fresh produce for the community. Sponsors like you can help us maintain and grow our garden so that we can implement our plans to have community classes, participate in MU Extension programs including Healthy Shelves (providing fresh produce for food pantry shelves) and Seeds that Feed (providing seeds to the community, that they may grow their own produce).
De Soto Farmers Market is a Non-Profit 501(c) organization and entirely funded through your support, grants, and the fundraising efforts of our community. Your donations are tax deductible so make sure that we have your most up to date information.
