The Winter Flakes Race is a local race with a lot of options. First, a disclaimer: we provide volunteers with hand warmers because the race is almost always cold. We’re a little crazy about the cold, but we like it that way. We’ll be starting and ending at the DeSoto Farmers’ Market. That building is already owned by Get Healthy DeSoto, so we might as well use it before the market opens in April.
Now, you can register for the 1 mile, 5K, or 10K. All give you some pretty views of DeSoto, and the 10K even hits a nice place to look out over southern Jefferson County. And don’t feel you have to run the distance. Walkers are always welcome!

Parking: West of the farmers’ market on the gravel and paved lot between Edington and Second Street. This is a run through town, and we’ll try to have plenty of signs and volunteers to get you where you need to be. However, the streets will not be closed and caution will be needed because you’ll be sharing the road with vehicles.

You can register online through February 15, 2025. After that, you’ll need to use a paper form! Those will be available on the morning of the race too.
