- The first American Christmas Tree wasn’t a tree at all. It was a wooden pyramid covered with evergreen boughs and decorated with apples. Today more than 35 million Christmas Trees are produced each year.
- The holiday season is the busiest time of the year for the postal service. Last year over 20 billion cards, letters and packages were sent during this time.
Winter Flakes Run Date
The Winter Flakes 10K/5K/1Mile Event will be held March 1, 2014. The rally point will again this year be at the south end of Walther Park. If you have questions about the race or sponsorship or want further information about registering, please visit the Get Healthy DeSoto website (here), view the registration website (here), or call Trish at 314-277-8079.
This is a great event, although it was snowing this past winter! The money goes to support Get Healthy DeSoto and the many programs that we do throughout the community.
