For one day only, September 14th, the Market will be set up across from the Fall Festival in Walther Park.  We will be open an extended hour til 1:00pm.  Please visit us for this day, we will have live chainsaw carving, live animals, live music and lots of great produce, baked goods, honey, dry mixes, jams, jellies, crafts and so much more.  Everything we offer at the Market is 100% locally produced by our vendors who live within 75 miles or less from the Market.

September 7th from 12:30 to 2:00pm, Chef Matthew McElyea will offer ” A Taste of Italy” Cooking Class.  It will be held at the Market location, inside St. Andrew’s church.

De Soto Farmers’ Market is sponsoring another bread making workshop. This workshop, called It’s All in the Grains, will be presented by Karen Moore, Tuesday, August 27th, and will be a hands-on class. The class will offer tips and techniques for making the best bread ever. Cost is $7.00. This workshop is back by popular demand. It has been presented before, was hugely successful and comes highly recommended. It will be presented from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church on Rock Road, in De Soto. The Missouri Mushroom Company is now at our Market selling locally home grown, gourmet mushrooms.  These specialty mushrooms are a wonderful addition to the many varieties of produce the De Soto Farmers’ Market offers.
