The Missouri Mushroom Company is now at our Market selling locally home grown, gourmet mushrooms. These specialty mushrooms are a wonderful addition to the many varieties of produce the De Soto Farmers’ Market offers.
Whole Grain Bread Baking Workshop
Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on class where you’ll learn tips and techniques for making wonderful bread. This workshop is being taught by Karen Moore from It’s All in the Grains. She’s a vendor at the market who makes some fabulous bread. In addition to bread-making techniques, she’ll also share about the nutritional benefits of making your own bread from fresh ground, whole grain flour and how to incorporated wholesome natural ingredients into some of those family heirloom recipes.
This workshop, sponsored by the DeSoto Farmers’ Market will be from 6:00-8:30 PM on August 27th. The cost is $7 and reservations are required. Please call 636-586-4570 or 636-586-2472 to make your reservation. The workshop will be held at St. Andrew’s UMC at 1004 Rock Rd. in DeSoto.
